1/ Microsoft introduced MAI-DxO, what the company is calling a "step towards medical superintelligence".

The system solved 85.5% of 304 cases vs. just 20% by experienced physicians.

It also delivered greater cost savings than human doctors.

2/ Google dropped two big updates this week:

  • Veo 3 AI video generator is now available globally for Gemini users with the AI Pro plan;

  • Gemini Live now integrates directly with Google Workspace apps like Calendar and Gmail.

3/ Meta introduced its new "Superintelligence Lab," led by Alexandr Wang and Nat Friedman.

The division includes 11 research hires from top AI labs, including OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.

4/ Perplexity dropped a new $200 "Max" subscription tier.

It provides users with unlimited usage of Labs tools, early access to new products like the "Comet" agentic browser, and access to advanced models and priority support.

5/ HeyGen launched a new Video Agent that handles content production end-to-end.

Using just a doc, some footage, or even a sentence, it can find a story, write the script, select shots/generate new footage, and edit everything for final release.

6/Chai Discovery dropped Chai-2, an AI that can design working antibodies.

It designed antibodies against 52 diseases and found successful treatments for half of them by testing 20 candidates each.

The process normally takes months or yearsGoogle dropped major AI models this week, starting with Gemini Robotics On-Device.

The VLA model runs locally and enables robots to perform a range of two-handed tasks, without the internet.

It can also learn new skills with a few dozen demos.

7/ Replit Agent got upgraded with Dynamic Intelligence: extended thinking, high-power models, and web search.

It can think deeper, reason better, and surf the web to solve challenging, open-ended problems like app performance optimizations, and more.
